What did I just read? I mean seriously? All this was, was a man bashing book. The author (obviously a woman) who apparently got burned by a man was upset and wrote this book. I understand that she got hurt and that perhaps the guy was a douche. But really? You are going to charge people to read about how you hate him and every other male on the planet? This isn't some breaking news. Marriage has been failing since the beginning of time. Men have been cheating for just as long. But I have a news flash for the author of this book... SO HAVE WOMEN! They cheat. They get lazy. They leave for younger men. They gold dig. They flirt. They command. They expect. And they cause pain as well.Miss. Ydell makes men look like they are the reason why all marriages fail. Her writing is wreathed with hatred and pain and finger pointing and blame. Nothing more. Who wants to read that?
I bought this book in hopes of having a little bit of a light read. The humorous side to a divorce. Because anyone that has been through a divorce knows that there really isn't anything funny about it. And in turn, all I got for my money was a bitter lady ripping apart every man on the planet. Nothing about what she might of done wrong. Nothing learned that she can use to better herself. All she does is place the entire blame on him. Poor totally innocent victim. The book is all over the place and could of easily of been written by a 5th grader who as mad that his lunch money keeps getting stolen by a bully.
What good does this book really do for anyone.. Except maybe Miss Ydell. Who is probably smiling all the way to the bank.

Even if you aren't going through the big "D" it is a witty and entertaining MUST read! A.G. is a masterful writer!
Grey divorce is earth shattering at best. This book is a reality guide to this process...I enjoyed the humor of the author and appreciate that she has experienced this phenomena.
This book is good for someone dealing with the end of a long-term marriage. There are a lot of books about relationship breakups, but the experience of having a marriage that has lasted for decades come to an abrupt end is very different from a relationship of months or a few years. The pain doesn't good away, which is what the author understands. Plus the person who has been dumped is on in years, so a lot of the suggestions that appear in other breakup books don't apply to someone past fifty or perhaps sixty. Probably the most comforting part of this book is just knowing that the things you are feeling aren't unique to yourself, but shared by anyone who has endured this experience.
